WhatsApp has been working on this for a stable version now and this feature is already available on the iOS in the stable version of the app. And now for the Android user, it will soon update for the stable version of Whatsapp but now it has in the Beta version now.
How to Set Fingerprint Authentication In Your Whatsapp
The Authentication feature will let WhatsApp users lock their account, and unlock it using a fingerprint sensor. This feature will be enabled in Settings > Account > Privacy > Use Fingerprint to Unlock. Once it’s enabled, WhatsApp will register your fingerprint.
